Team Managers

The team managers handle all administrative duties for the team.  This allows the coach to concentrate on coaching.   This person is the "point" person for the main communications concerning the Cary Defenders.  Decisions relating to the development of the players and all matters relating to the team regarding league play and tournaments and coaching will still be made by the coach. 

Responsiblities

  • All administrative duties relating to the team
  • Player registrations for league play
  • Informs parents of schedules and any changes/cancellations that are made to practices and games
  • Re-scheduling of games in accordance with the Coaches schedule
  • Assisting the coach in completion of paperwork required for selected leagues and tournaments the team is to compete in
  • Maintain weekly correspondence with the parents via e-mail regarding team events
  • Assist the head coach on game days with the printing of the game card, player cards, ensure goal nets are staked and corner flags are present and put away.

By taking responsibility in the above areas, this will allow the coach to focus all of his/her time into developing the players and team to achieve success on the field and making playing decisions as opposed to dealing with other issues.
