The Cary Soccer Memorial Tournament relies strictly on volunteers to make it successful!

Please gather your friends and sign up for as many spots as you can. The team with the most volunteer hours will receive a pizza party! (Based on highest weighted average number of volunteer hours per number of players.)

Descriptions of the various volunteer opportunities are outlined below.

The following links through signup.com have been set up to facilitate & manage all of the volunteer sign ups:

  1. CSMT 2017 All Volunteers Sign Up (except field marshalls) where we ask for volunteers to help run concessions, field setup, etc.
  2.  CSMT 2017 Field Marshal Sign Up where we ask the parents, players and other volunteers to sign up as field marshals.

NOTE:  Field Marshal Training for all NEW Field Marshals (or anyone wanting a refresher) -- Friday, September 22nd - 6:00 pm at Cary-Grove Park.    Questions about being a field marshal - contact Director of Coaching, Adam Pashley at adam.pashley@carysoccer.org

DESCRIPTIONS OF VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

EVENT SET-UP: Help in setting up tents (two parks) will be held the Friday afternoon prior to the tournament.  In addition, setting up tables, signage, fencing, grills etc., on the Saturday morning of the tournament, starting at about 6:30 AM. Event starts at 8:00!

CONCESSIONS: Help in staffing shifts through out the weekend, both Saturday and Sunday, at two parks selling food and drinks to participants and families.  We are looking for people to work 3 hour shifts at a time. More if you are willing.

FIELD MARSHALS -  Field Marshall's are responsible for important pre-game duties such as player and team check-in, ensuring referees have necessary equipment and paperwork, monitoring the game and reporting injuries, and confirming game scores with referees and tournament HQ. This role is geared towards our parents and U11 players and older who wish to be a part of the action and help make sure our games run smoothly.  Players who are U9 & U10 may volunteer WITH a parent.

EVENT TEAR DOWN: Help loading up tables, chairs, grills, fencing etc., to park district trucks for overnight storage. Tear down starts after 5pm on Saturday and Sunday.

MANY MORE OPPORTUNITIES: These are just a few of the opportunities we need help with. Just give us a call as the event approaches and we will find something for you to help with. Thank you in advance for your support.
