Registration is now open for tryouts for the 2020-2021 Cary Defenders competitive season!

Any NEW players to the Cary Defenders competitive program or who played on a Cary Defenders competitive team prior to the 2019-2020 season that would like to try out for a Cary Defenders team for the 2020-2021 season must register through the tryout registration link.

DUE TO COVID-19 AND THE EXTENDED ILLINOIS STAY AT HOME ORDER THROUGH MAY 31ST WHICH RESULTED IN THE CANCELLATION OF THE SPRING 2020 COMPETITIVE SEASON, ALL TRYOUTS FOR BIRTH YEARS 2007-2013 WILL BE DONE BY SUBMITTING A VIDEO CLIP UPLOADED THROUGH THE TRYOUT REGISTRATION LINK.

DEADLINE FOR BIRTH YEARS 2007 - 2013 TO REGISTER FOR TRYOUTS AND UPLOAD VIDEO - MONDAY, JUNE 15TH (EXTENDED FROM JUNE 1ST).

NOTE:  High school boys (birth years 2002-2006) have the option of submitting a video now for their tryout.  We will also hold a tryout in October - date & time TBD.

TRYOUT VIDEO CLIP CRITERIA:

• Video should be less than 5 minutes (limited to 3 GB of data).
• A parent/sibling may assist with the tryout as a partner for the player to demonstrate the skill.
• Player should demonstrate the following:

1. Ability to control the ball (ground and aerially)
2. Ability to pass from a standstill and moving position 
3. Ability to perform a turn or trick/skill with the ball
4. Ability to run with ball and change direction under control
