Update as of 4-24-20, 4-15-20, 3-31-20 & 3-13-20

Update:  April 24, 2020

All current Cary Defender competitive players/families and Spring 2020 Rec players/families received an eblast regarding the Spring 2020 Season.  If you did not get the eblast please contact finance@carysoccer.org.

Update:  April 15, 2020

Due to the significant changes of the Coronavirus (COVID-19), State and Federal Government social distancing guidelines and the extension of the suspension of play by US Youth Soccer and US Soccer, all Illinois Youth Soccer sanctioned activities are suspended until at least May 15, 2020.

This includes our Cary Soccer Recreational Program, our Cary Defenders Competitive Program and our TopSoccer Program for children with disabilities.

For our Cary Defender competitive players/families --  Neither the YSSL boys league or the IWSL girls league have made any decisions about the spring 2020 season.  As soon as we get any information or clarification we will let you know.  In the meantime we are planning that soccer activities will resume on May 16th.

For our rec players/families -- We are currently going under the assumption that soccer activities may resume on May 16th.  However, please keep an eye open for an eblast by age group for additional information and how this impacts the season in the next 24-48 hours.

Please note, all decisions regarding Cary Soccer Association activities are subject to change based on the ongoing review of circumstances and guidance from the Federal and State Government, US Soccer Federation, US Youth Soccer, the IYSA and the leagues which we participate.

Update:  March 31, 2020 - 4:00 pm

Due to the significant changes of the Coronavirus (COVID-19), all Illinois Youth Soccer sanctioned activities are suspended until at least April 30, 2020.  This includes our Cary Soccer Recreational Program, our Cary Defenders Competitive Program and our TopSoccer Program for children with disabilities.

Once we get information from our member leagues as to how this impacts the season and our programs we will notify you.

Update:  March 13, 2020 - 4:00 pm

The safety and security of our players, parents and community is, and always will be, our highest priority!

Based on the recent suspensions by the US Soccer Federation, US Youth Soccer, the Illinois Youth Soccer Association (IYSA) and our local leagues, along with the heightened travel concerns and the health of our soccer community in mind, ALL Cary Soccer Association run activities are suspended through April 15, 2020 effective immediately.  This includes our Cary Soccer Recreational Program, our Cary Defenders Competitive Program and our TopSoccer Program for children with disabilities.  All Cary Defenders indoor league games for this upcoming weekend (which are the last regularly scheduled activities of the indoor season) are also cancelled.  These programs will be re-evaluated on an on-going basis.

This decision has been made in accordance with the guidance of public health and medical professionals based on the ongoing and rapid acceleration of the coronavirus.  As the number increases, the Board of Cary Soccer Association has decided to exercise caution in the interest of our soccer family.

We recognize that these decisions have a real impact on you, but in the interest of ensuring the health and safety of the soccer community, as well as that of the community at-large, we feel that this is the right decision at this time.

Due to the fluidity of the situation please give us some time to determine how this suspension will affect all of our programs, including season start and end dates both for practices and games as well as any tournament participation for our Cary Defenders competitive teams.

Please note, all decisions regarding Cary Soccer Association activities are subject to change based on the ongoing review of circumstances and guidance from the US Soccer Federation, US Youth Soccer, the IYSA and the leagues which we participate.

As we continue to meet and assess the current situation, we will provide updates as needed.  Further details regarding the impact of coronavirus on our programming will continue to be shared via Cary Soccer email communication channels and on our website at www.carysoccer.org

Thank you, in advance, for your patience and understanding as we work through subsequent decisions.
